פּוֹעֵל יָכוֹל לַחֲזֹר בּוֹ אֲפִלּוּ בַּחֲצִי הַיּוֹם דִּכְתִיב: (ויקרא כה, נה) "כִּי לִי בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲבָדִים", עֲבָדַי הֵם וְלֹא עֲבָדִים לַעֲבָדִים. פירוש הכי קאמר 'כִּי לִי בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל' ולכן אפילו אם יהיו עבדים לאחרים לא יחול עליהם דין עבדות יען כִּי עֲבָדַי הֵם.
